This is a six-month bridge contract requirement to maintain VMI services until the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) can competitively solicit, evaluate, and award a contract. FAR Clause 52.217-8 has been negotiated with Amgen USA Inc. and if exercised shall not exceed three-months. If no action is taken to maintain the current inventory levels in VMI beyond March 12, 2024, $395M worth of assets being held for the USG will be transferred to an SNS warehouse and begin to expire without Vendor stock rotation.
