## Description

NAVFAC SW intends to issue a Firm Fixed Priced contract under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting from a Single Source. Award is anticipated to occur on or about February 1, 2024 to South Coast Emergency Vehicle Service (South Coast Fire Equipment, Inc.). The period of performance will be for approximately ninety (90) calendar days after issuance of the notice to proceed.

As indicated in the attached and approved J&A, per the NAVFAC P-307, Management of Weight Handling Equipment Manual: All work, repairs, and services that are required on NAVFACSW FED FIRE USN Fire Truck Aerial Ladder Truck Flysection Platform (# 17 N74-00135) are to be performed by an OEM certified/ authorized dealer. Additionally, per P-307, all load-controlling parts that require replacement, must be replaced with OEM parts.

Use of non-OEM parts would be incompatible to the existing systems on the cranes, which could result in component and/or system failures. The OEM website identifies South Coast Emergency Vehicle Service (South Coast Fire Equipment, Inc.) as the only authorized distributor and service provider in Southern California to perform OEM service maintenance on Fed Fire Truck Aerial Ladder Flysection Platform.
