The USCG owns nine (9) CPP assemblies, three (3) of which are installed on the POLAR STAR (WAGB-10) at any given time, with the other 6 rotating in and out of repair and installation. The propellers were originally manufactured by Escher Wyss, which is now a part of Andritz Hydro. Each of the CPP assemblies are comprised of four (4) blades, have a diameter of 16ft, are made of EN30B steel, and weigh approximately 88,500lbs. This IDIQ will be for a 5 year period with a base year starting in FY25, with annual orders for hub overhual/repair of 3 per year expected. Anticipated work expected to commence around 01 June 2025 on West Coast only.
