After recent MRG failures the USCG is trying to identify any LO flow problems that can exacerbate the MRG aging issue prior to each Cutter’s scheduled future “Major Overhauls”. Cypress reported after their inspection: A. Poor flow from Generator pinion 3 spray nozzles. It appears only a steady stream is coming from a single spray nozzle. B. A Bull Gear tooth has visible damage.
