Description of Supplies: The Steering Actuator Rotors are critical components of the cutter’s steering system and must meet required specifications. NSN: 2030-01-F24-7004 Quantity: Two (2) Dimensions: L1400xW1400xH1600 mm Weight: 4700 kg each Sole Source Justification: This procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), which allows for sole source acquisitions when only one source is reasonably available. The authority permitting this sole source acquisition without full and open competition is prescribed by FAR Subpart 6.103-1 (FAR Class Deviation 25-11), entitled “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.” Neuver Maritime Inc. is the OEM and holds proprietary rights to the Steering Actuator Rotors. No other vendors are licensed or authorized to manufacture these parts, and the rotors must meet specific OEM specifications to ensure compatibility with the cutter’s existing systems.
