Location: USCGC Stratton, 42 Eagle Road Coast Guard Island, Alameda CA 94501

Contractor will install a total of (5) full bridge strain gage sets on the Port shaft, and (5) strain gage sets on the Starboard shaft, to complete the bearing load calculations.

Contractor will also measure and report the vertical load on each line shaft bearing using the Hydraulic Jack/Load Cell method.

Contractor will provide all specialty tools and calibrated instrumentation necessary to install the strain gages and measure the strain gage data.

	Introduction and References

	Project description

	Alignment calculations

	Alignment tests with strain gages

	Conclusions

	Recommendation for future action

Data sheets on shaft model used to obtain reported results e.g. stations, strain gauge locations, diameters, lengths, load points, etc.

Data sheets from Computer runs that computed reported results e.g. stations, deflections, stresses, bearing reactions, slopes, etc.
