\n\nCGC Stratton
\n\nShaft Alignment and Bearing Reaction Check
\n\nIntent: contractor must measure and report to USCG the Vertical and Horizontal Loads on the (2) bull gear bearings and (2) intermediate bearings, stern and strut bearings, using the Strain Gage Method.
\n\nPeriod of Performance: 01 November 2026 – 01 January 2027
\n\nLocation: USCGC Stratton, 42 Eagle Road Coast Guard Island, Alameda CA 94501
\n\nContractor will install a total of (5) full bridge strain gage sets on the Port shaft, and (5) strain gage sets on the Starboard shaft, to complete the bearing load calculations.
\n\nContractor will also measure and report the vertical load on each line shaft bearing using the Hydraulic Jack/Load Cell method.
\n\nContractor will provide all specialty tools and calibrated instrumentation necessary to install the strain gages and measure the strain gage data.
\n\nContractor shall provide a final written report within 15 days after completion of the work covered by this scope of work. The report shall contain at a minimum the following:
