## Description

**Purpose:** The Coast Guard is issuing this Sources Sought Notice (SSN) for market research purposes to identify capability and availability of small business sources to fabricate and deliver shackles for use in mooring marine aids-to-navigation buoys. Shackle type, requirement and description are identified in Attachment 1, Specification 417 Rev H.3 for Fabrication of Shackles, Modeer Shackles, and Split Keys. The applicable North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code assigned to this procumbent may be 332111, Iron and Steel Forging, with a small business size standard of 750 employees.

The deadline for submittals is Monday, August 11, 2025. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the Contract Opportunities website. Failure to respond or submit sufficiently detailed information may result in a company not being considered a likely offeror when deciding on whether or how to set aside a solicitation for restricted competition. Regardless of the information submitted, the Government reserves the right to consider any arrangement as determined appropriate for this requirement.
