In accordance with the Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, the Contracting Officer may set aside solicitations to allow only local firms within District 7 to compete even though a separate justification or determination and findings is not required. Requirements that were procured in response to emergency situations resulting from the damages and aftermath of Hurricane Helene include: restroom trailers, berthing/lodging for duty members for continuity of operations planning (COOP), generators, and hazardous material cleanup.
