Membership in this group provides support to and participation in the development of standards that are required by Department of Homeland Security components. OGC is a standard development organization focused on geospatial and location-based information that are critical information requirements for Homeland Security and Emergency Management missions. DHS also needs to vote in critical Geospatial Standards so that its mission needs can be covered.
