## Description

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Procurement Operations (OPO) issues this Request for Information (RFI) on behalf of the DHS Science and Technology Directorate (S&T), Office of Mission and Capability Support (MCS).

The Response and Defeat Operations Support (REDOPS) program supports public safety bomb technicians and provides a collaborative structure for addressing Improvised Explosive Device (IED) response and defeat capability gaps identified by federal, state, and local bomb technicians, including the National Bomb Squad Commander’s Advisory Board (NBSCAB).

To address the ever-evolving threats, REDOPS has established a systems analysis approach involving explosives countermeasures experts from all levels of government and conducts Research, Development, Testing & Evaluation (RDT&E) of technologies and capabilities needed by public safety bomb squads.
