FEMA is modernizing the National Flood Insurance Program to improve how it assesses and communicates flood risk, prices and delivers flood insurance, manages floodplains, and provides mitigation assistance. The goal is to help individuals, communities, states, and private-sector partners better understand and reduce flood risk while using policyholder and taxpayer funds efficiently.
