Roadway widening from 15-feet to 24-feet will be on one side of the road, allowing use of the existing roadway for project phasing. Suggested phasing plans show phase 1 as widening of the west half of the road with embankment and aggregate construction in, then phase 2 shifts traffic onto the west-side aggregate base while FDR embankment, and aggregate work is completed, to be followed by roadway asphalt paving. Grading of ditches, culvert work, signing, and striping is also required. PRINCIPAL WORK ITEMS: Approximate quantities for major work items: Embankment Construction: 1,300 CY Roadway aggregate: 3,800 Tons Asphalt Pavement: 2,000 Tons Culverts: One 36” pipe (45 LF), one 24” (45 LF), and flared end sections for both.
