All firms should be certified in the System for Award Management (SAM) located at https://www.sam.gov/ Project Details: CA ERFO FS LSPDR 2023-1(1B) Black Mountain Road The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate and reconstruct approximately 6.9 miles of a paved (asphalt) access road to the Paso Robles Long Range Radar site beginning at the FS boundary at milepost 0.3 and ending at the gate of the FAA radar site at approximately milepost 7.22. The project will also include drainage improvements and provide safety improvements where feasible. The project will consist of a 4-inch full depth reclamation (FDR) of the roadway pavement and 2-inch asphalt overlay. Cleaning or replacement of damaged or missing drainage flumes, cleaning of drainage flumes and culverts, adding embankment material to eroded areas, and installation of delineators and object markers. Roadway cross slopes vary but will be replaced to closely match existing conditions with minor adjustments made to direct runoff to new drainage flume locations. Traffic control will be required to maintain access to radar and communication sites during construction. Principal work activities include: Shoulder and Ditch Reconditioning 4.5 miles Full Depth Reclamation: 7 miles Asphalt Concrete Pavement: 6,000 Tons Clean Culvert in Place 67 each It is anticipated this project will be advertised in the fall of 2025 and be under construction in early 2026. The project has an estimated completion date of July 2026.
