The project is proposing to rehabilitate (3R) roads and parking lots and pavement preservation on routes within Capital Reef National Park. The project is broken up into a schedule with three options, described below. SCOPE OF THE WORK: The project is proposing to rehabilitate (3R) approximately 6.40 miles of road along with pullouts for schedule A. Option X is a (3R) rehabilitation of the Visitor Center parking lot. Option Y is a (3R) rehabilitation of the Chimney Rock parking lot. Option Z pavement preservations of various roadway and parking lots within Capital Reef National Park. For both Schedule A and Option X and Y the roads parking lots, and pullouts are in need rehabilitation due to deterioration that is typical of aging pavements. The existing pavement section on roadways are in poor condition with roadway cracking and aggregate surfacing. This pavement preservation work will include crack sealing, asphalt patching, micro sealing, and chip sealing.
