The Model 1764 PSM is a custom unit originally designed by Quarterwave Corporation as part of the ASDE-3 system. The PSM is a critical part necessary to maintain ASDE-3 facilities. The current requirement is necessary to avoid extended outages at National Airspace Systems (NAS) ASDE-3 facilities. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System Paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. Saab, Inc. owns all proprietary data rights proprietary information necessary to conduct manufacture, repair, and test of these assets. A market survey (6973GH-25-MS-00009) was posted on the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) website on May 29, 2025 and closed on June 12, 2025. Response to the market survey supports the single source to Quarterwave. The proposed principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 335311, Power, Distribution and Specialty Transformer Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size Standard of 800.
