To further clarify, the first lot of three (3) reels will be a cumulative total of 120,000 feet of cable; however, the FAA requires each reel to consist of 40,000 feet each for manageability purposes during installation efforts. QUESTION 2. Are you accepting any alternative for this opportunity? FAA RESPONSE: No, the FAA cannot consider alternatives to either the material specification or delivery schedule stated in the RFQ document. This requirement is supporting a larger, ongoing, and partially completed effort. To consider another product, a significant re-investment would be required concerning the host systems' configuration, and replacement of already completed work to achieve a uniform standardization for supportability concerns.
