BACKGROUND: The Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Joint Program Office (ITS JPO) leads and coordinates research on ITS which integrates intelligent vehicles and intelligent infrastructure. The Federal ITS program supports the advancement of ITS through investments in resource initiatives, exploratory studies, and deployment support programs including technology transfer and training. The United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) and the ITS JPO are committed to working with the public and private sectors and the academic community to foster innovation and encourage deployment to bring the benefits of ITS technologies to communities across the country. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this requirement is to provide Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Research and Stakeholder Support Services. The contract should enhance the ITS JPO relationship with the ITS industrial, academic, and government stakeholder communities. The task activities under this contract are intended to support a broader understanding of ITS in cooperation with the ITS JPO and modal administrations within the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT). The Contractor shall work across the transportation and other ITS-related industries to perform support activities oriented toward activities that capitalize on the diversity of ITS stakeholders.
