## Description

**NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE:** THE EASTERN FEDERAL LANDS HIGHWAY DIVISION (EFLHD), OF THE FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION (FHWA), INTENDS TO PROCURE ACCREDITATION SERVICES FROM THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF STATE HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION OFFICIALS MATERIALS REFERENCE LABORATORY (AMRL). MAINTENANCE OF AASHTO AMRL ACCREDITATION IS AN IMPORTANT QUALITY BENCHMARK FOR THE EFLHD AND PARTNER AGENCIES.

THIS IS A REQUIREMENT TO REMAIN IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE AMRL ACCREDITATION PROGRAM, AAP R18, “STANDARD PRACTICE FOR ESTABLISHING AND IMPLEMENTING A QUALITY SYSTEM FOR CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING LABORATORIES.” ALSO, REQUIRED FOR THE COMPETENCE OF TESTING AND COMPLIANCE WITH ISO/IEC 17025. ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A QUOTATION WHICH, IF RECEIVED TIMELY, WITHIN 10 DAYS OF THE POSTED DATE, SHALL BE CONSIDERED BY THE AGENCY.
