## Description

**1. Introduction:** The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Section (ANG-E261) is inquiring to procure for a contractor to technical expertise, engineering and labor to support ARFF research projects 2. Incumbent Contractor:

**Battelle Memorial Institute Inc. 3. Nature of Competition:** The acquisition strategy for the procurement has not been determined at this time.

**4. General Information:** This is not a Screening Information Request or Request for Proposals of any kind; The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals; The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey; and Any costs associated with the market survey submittal is solely at the interested vendor’s expense 5. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541715- Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology) with a size standard of 1,000 employees.

6. Submittal Requirements Interested companies must provide the following information: a) Capability Statement demonstrating the capability to perform the requirements in the attached Draft Statement of Work (SOW) b) Examples of previous contracts, agreements, or completed commercial projects, showing experience providing similar services. Provide examples demonstrating your ability to manage a fire testing laboratory.

If applicable provide a list of all current Electronic FAA Accelerated and Simplified Tasks (eFAST), FAA- Systems Engineering and Technical Innovation Solutions (SETIS), and GSA Advantage/Schedule Contracts. c) Business Size (Large or Small).
