## Description

The nature of this action is to modify the firm-fixed price contract HC104724C0003 to include FAR 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services. The period of performance of the contract is June 1, 2024 – November 30, 2024. The additional 6-month extension will provide services from 1 December 2024 – May 31, 2025, using Operations and Maintenance funding.

The additional 6-month period will allow for transition-in time and in the event additional protest issues are raised it allows NDU continued services with time for further acquisition planning. The contract HC104724C0003 was awarded to the incumbent contractor as a result of the protest and a J&A for OTFAOC was approved (JA24-076) for the new award. The follow-on contract is anticipated to be re-awarded November 15, 2024.
