## Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to REVVITY HEALTH SCIENCES, INC., to obtain a Maintenance service agreement for a IVIS Inst. Spectrum 120V Andor Camera.

It includes all preventative maintenance, repairs including labor and travel incurred during service calls. • Dedicated phone staff for simple questions to offer customer-assisted repairs/troubleshooting that eliminates instrument downtime. • Monitoring software that permits them to pull details of errors and troubleshoot virtually. • No recertification fee Repair requires parts that are exclusively manufactured by Revvity making it imperative to obtain these components directly from the source.

Engaging middle-man service aggregators not only risks voiding the supported warranty but also incurs significant recertification costs that are often prohibitive. The use of other companies as a middleman adds significant delays as it is necessary to first get approval for repair through the company, then requires coordination with both the alternate company and Revvity for repairs. No other companies maintain staff designed to service the Revvity and therefore does not offer phone technical support.

Alternate company onsite repair requires both the alternate company staff AND a Revvity staff – we are a Select Agent registered lab, and repairs require a 1:1 escort ratio, thus requiring two federal employees to escort the 2 visitors during the repair. Therefore, Revvity is the only source capable of performing requirements. Justification of the capability required is provided on the sole source justification document.

This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.

A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to contract specialist Iris Gonzalez at qsx8@cdc.gov by COB 5pm, est December 6, 2024.
