Transformer of 115 degrees C temperature rise shall be capable of carrying continuously 115 percent of the nameplate kVA without exceeding insulation rating. Transformers shall be provided with six (6) voltage adjusting taps (2 above and 4 below rated primary voltage). They shall also be equipped with electrostatic shields between the primary and secondary winding, as well as between the windings and the core. Minimum efficiency, based on factory test results, shall not be less than NEMA Class 1 efficiency as defined by NEMA TP 1.
