## Description

The Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center has the availability and capability to host 350 persons in space that includes a primary ballroom for general sessions and eight (8) breakout rooms in support of the agenda that has been approved by CDC for execution on March 4 – 7, 2024 in Atlanta, GA. In addition, the venue has the capability to provide the specific audio and visual (A/V) equipment required to successfully execute a meeting of this magnitude on the required dates for the awardees and CDC staff that will be traveling to Atlanta to convene for this multi-day event. Other venues considered included the following:

CDC’s Tom Harkin Global Communications Center, the Atlanta Marriott Century Northeast/Emory Area, the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center, the Emory Conference Center, the Georgia International Convention Center, and the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel, The Westin Peachtree Plaza Atlanta, The Westin Atlanta Perimeter North, and Heard Truist Park.

Of the multiple venues considered (listed above), none could meet the combination of meeting requirements including sizeable meeting space, ample sleeping rooms, and convenient/accessible transportation on the dates required. Accesibility to MARTA is a vital requirement because over 350 participants will be flying into Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to attend the meeting and will need reliable, economic, and safe transportation to and from the hotel.
