The NSF-NSA NRQZ Modernization Effort seeks to improve emergency and broadband telecommunications while protecting and enhancing Federal facility operations in the National Radio Quiet Zone (NRQZ). Project 2 of the NSF-NSA NRQZ Modernization Effort (“Project 1”) conducts initial investigation of medium-term (5 years) and long-term (10-30 years) topics. Project 2 work is performed in collaboration with an NSF-NSA NRQZ Modernization Effort Project 1 (“Project 1”) performer who focuses on immediate-term public safety telecommunications issues in Pendleton and Pocahontas counties, West Virginia. NSF envisions this project as a preliminary study. Roberson & Associates, LLC has extensive experience with strategic and telecommunications analysis and consulting, including direct experience with state/local public safety issues. Roberson & Associates, LLC has extensive familiarity with complex, multi-faceted telecommunications projects and analyzing challenges with full knowledge of available solutions and the ability to adapt these for individual projects, from multibillion-dollar issues to much smaller localized projects. Roberson & Associates, LLC has detailed working knowledge of the Federal Communications Commission and National Telecommunications and Information Administration rule making procedures and licensing. In addition to numerous contributions to and leadership in the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) processes. Roberson & Associates, LLC is the only vendor capable of meeting NSF's need to provide engineering services toward improving emergency telecommunications while protecting and enhancing Federal facility operations in the National Radio Quiet Zone (NRQZ).
