## Description

Pursuant to (FAR) 13.106-1(b), The National Science Foundation (NSF) intend to negotiate a sole source purchase order with the for Sponsorship of the 2023 AISES National Conference to be held on October 3-5, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. The American Indian Science and Engineering Society is focused on substantially increasing the representation of Indigenous peoples of North America and the Pacific Islands in critically needed STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) disciplines.

This robust nonprofit currently supports individual student and professional members across the U.S. and Canada through chartered college and university chapters, professional chapters, tribal chapters, and affiliated PK-12 schools. Members benefit from diverse STEM-focused programming that supports careers and promotes student success and workforce development in multiple crucial areas.

The AISES Conference is the only one event capable of meeting NSF's need to connect with up to 7,000 participants who are focused on learning the important trends, needs, and research impacting indigenous STEM studies and careers. The American Indian Science and Engineering Society is the only organization of its kind that can provide this Sponsorship. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
