## Description

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to extend the existing Sign Language Interpreting Services (SLIS) contract with MAF via sole source modification, under the authority of FAR 13.5 procedures in accordance with authority 41 U.S.C. § 1901 for acquisitions exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold.

The Government has determined that MAF is the only source reasonably available to satisfy this requirement by continuing to provide services to support the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) employees. MAF has the current skills, experience, and TS/SCI clearance to continue to perform all functional areas of support within the locations both CONUS and OCONUS.

These attributes provided by the current contractor are essential to NGA’s logistics operations to ensure there are no gaps in mission until the follow-on contract is completed. The period of performance of the extension to the current contract will be for a total of 7 months (3-month base and two 2-month options). This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 5.2 Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions and is not a request for competitive proposals.

A solicitation will not be posted for the extension, however if any firm believes they can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contract Specialist no later than 10:00am EST on January 6, 2025. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement.

Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Points of contact for this requirement are Collin Larson, Contracting Specialist, Collin.M.Larson@nga.mil or Erika Hessler, Contracting Officer, at Erika.S.Hessler@nga.mil.
