This procurement is a follow-on effort to the current VA's Batteries 2020 Procurement Program FFP/IDIQ contracts, which expire on August 31, 2025. The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Acquisition Center, Denver Logistics Services identified a supply requirement for the continuous reordering of commercially available cell type batteries for use in prescribed medical devices to include hearing aids, cochlear implants, assistive listening devices, other home telehealth equipment, and many prosthetic devices to meet eligible Veterans’ beneficiary medical needs. The batteries in this requirement will range widely in sizes and types including, but are not limited to alkaline, lithium, NIMH, and zinc air type batteries. The types of batteries included in this requirement are readily available products in the commercial market, these batteries are designated as commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) items that are widely used for applications other than the Government’s needs.
