Due to a lack of Fire Code NFPA 101 standards the current resident count is capped at 16 and no longer meets the needs of the VA. Approximately 6892 square feet of existing house and approximately 4674 square feet of existing shop buildings will be demolished. New construction includes approximately 11,550 square feet of new facility accommodating 24 beds, including storage space on the existing Friendship House property. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered.
