Market research revealed that Boston Scientific is the only vendor who can provide the needed Maintenance services as they are the OEM of the Medical Lasers currently utilized at the Iowa City VAMC. The maintenance services are proprietary to the OEM. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this service is 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and the Product Service Code (PSC) is J065 (Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies). While this synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement, including documentation from the proprietary rights holder, Schneider Electric, that such contractor could provide this service as an authorized reseller, authorized dealer or third party.
