This is not a request for competitive quotes. The Nebraska-Western Iowa VAMC has an emergency need for housekeeping services. Due to a hiring freeze an emergency contract is needed to ensure the VAHCS will remain clean and sanitized for the health and safety of staff and patients. The identified contractor is the only known source that can fulfill the requirements needs in an urgent manner. The timeframe for services to start does not allow for a competed solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this service is 561720 (Janitorial Services) and the Product Service Code (PSC) is S201 (Housekeeping Custodial Janitorial).
