It is proprietary to Johnson Controls, Inc. and is highly specialized. The Building Automation System controls various electric, electronic, and mechanical systems throughout the many buildings of the facility. It integrates different types of building systems together into one centralized location, primarily to control heating, ventilation, and air conditioning but are also used to control lighting, security, and other building systems. Johnson Controls, Inc. does not authorize third party vendors to provide parts or service for the Metasys Building Automation System and the associated services to program the access points. This procurement is authorized under FAR 13.106-1. The NAICS code is 561210. The PSC code is J041. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement along with the information requested below, which shall be considered by the Government. The Government will consider responses received by the closing date of this notice. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a full and open competitive procurement or a small business set aside competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this announcement. If the Government decides to compete this requirement, a synopsis shall be issued utilizing the combined synopsis/solicitation procedure identified in FAR 12.603. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
