VA requires the proprietary Records Storage Services from Iron Mountain Information Management, LLC in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b) - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements because the software and/or services are unique or proprietary to Iron Mountain Information Management, LLC. Market research revealed that Iron Mountain Information Management, LLC is the proprietary provider of the service currently being utilized by VA. Additionally, Iron Mountain Information Management, LLC is the only company that can provide the required maintenance support for the equipment. The software system is routinely used by VA to provide medical services for veterans in the VA Healthcare System. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 493110 and the service code is S215. While this synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government understands that Iron Mountain Information Management, LLC is the only vendor that can provide the requested services.
