This Notice is for a proposed award of a sole source firm fixed price contract to Censis Technologies to procure Zebra Bar-code Scanners for our Censitrac Sterile Processing's Instrument Tracking Systems. This procurement will be conducted under authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1: Only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Market research identified that only Censis Technologies can provide the Zebra scanners that are compatible with the Censitrac Sterile Processing's Instrument Tracking Systems. A sole source letter from the original equipment manufacturer, Zebra Technologies, states that Censis Technologies is the sole vendor for the Zebra DS3678-DP2F403VTNA Wireless scanner, STB3678-C141E8NA cradle, and DS3608-DP20373VTNA wired scanner. These scanner models are the only Zebra rugged handheld DPM devices certified by Censis for use with Censitrac software.
