Requirement:** As part of the VA s community-based Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) program, the contractor shall provide VHA Healthcare eligible Veterans respite and medically enhanced services for those preparing for a planned medical procedure or discharging from the VA Medical Center (VAMC), or other community hospitals, and for patients needing: recovery from surgery, additional post-hospitalization stabilization both medically and psychiatrically, and specialized nursing care for wound care and other non-acute ailments. The contractor shall provide for up to 10 homeless male Veterans and up to 90 days at a site known as Medical Respite Contract (MRC) on the West Los Angeles Campus of the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS).
