The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to support the procurement of Brand-Name or Equal: KAIRISON PNEUMATIC BONE PUNCH and Accessories for the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. This notice serves to survey the market in an attempt to ascertain whether or not sources are capable of providing the requested supplies and services. This notice allows potential vendors to submit a non-binding statement of interest and documentation demonstrating their capability. The sources sought effort is intended to assess industry capabilities and develop/support the intended direction of acquisition planning. The Network Contracting Office (NCO 21) is requesting responses from qualified business concerns; the qualifying NAICS code for this effort is 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. This Sources Sought is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (Service Disabled/Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB), Hub zone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, woman owned small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. Given the results of the market research, there are no known alternative Pneumatic Bone Punch Systems that are capable of meeting the requirements of this procurement, irrespective of the place of manufacture. There are also no known authorized distributors for the government, outside of Trillamed, LLC, which has been identified as the exclusive distributor partner for the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), B. Braun / Aesculap. The specific items required are attached. VA s Gray Market Items terms and conditions apply pursuant to VAAR 852.212-71 Gray Market Items and VAAR 852.212-72 Gray Market and Counterfeit Items. As a result, vendor shall be an OEM, authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the items identified to be eligible for participation with this acquisition. Vendor must be able to provide the documentation that demonstrates such aforementioned authority.
