This is an intent to sole source notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. This announcement constitutes the only notice of intent to sole source and synopsis of the proposed action. Department of Veterans Affairs, VHA, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21 intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract to Surveillance Security Inc., a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). This will be a Base year only. The statutory authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. § 1901 and is implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) for restricting competition on this procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 561612 Security Guards and Patrol Services. Product of Service Code for this requirement is R430 Support Professional: Physical Security and Badging. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is $29.0 Million. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice.
