In reference to the RFP requirement 'Specific Tasks' under item 3.2.2 it is not clear on what to do with the 40HP motor, is contractor to 'REBUILD' or REPLACE' the 40 HP motor?- please clarify as this will be crucial to pricing the bid if the motor need to be completely replaced. Replace During the site visit, our associates inquired about the magnitude or price range for this solicitation. We were informed that bidders will have to provide that information to the VA. Please include this instruction in an amendment for everyone's information. The magnitude of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Our subcontractors who specialize in cooling tower works present during the site walk recommend replacement of the 40HP motor, coupling assembly, main tower support frame, fan housing and fan blades.- please confirm this is the VA intent as well to equalize the playing field for bidders. VA s intent is to have covered what is in the SOW. The product and model number for the motors and cooling tower are from 2012 and there is a possibility of these products to be no longer in production. Please advise if these components can be replaced with another product or an approved equal. Yes The RFP did not require any design submittal review for this project.
