The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii) and 41 USC §1901, only one source will meet the Government’s needs. This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), requiring publication of the proposed contract action. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However, IAW FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii) any business that believes it can provide the METRx II Instrument Set may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency, by providing written notice to derek.brown7@va.gov by the due date stated in box 8 of the SF 1449. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposes acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
