Roosevelt Avenue, Kapolei, Hawaii 96707 This Notice of Intent is provided to advise that the Government intends to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Priced Purchase Order with only one source, Aldevra. The procurement is for Sterile Cabinet Storage Systems for the AKAKA clinic. This is a Brand Name or Equal requirement, which uses the Air Innovations Sterile Storage Cabinet (Model: SSC4500DX) as a basis of design. The Sterile Cabinet Storage System provides capabilities to maintain sterile conditions for various inventories, which is required by medical facilities to be compliant with industry and organizational standards. The AKAKA Clinic, being a new facility, can take advantage of the size and flexibility that these units provide in being portable for use in various locations. This action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii) and 41 USC §1901, only one will meet the Government s needs. Only one source is capable of responding due to the unique or specialized nature of the supplies and/or services. It is the Government s belief that the proposed candidate is the sole distributor of the Air Innovations Sterile Storage Cabinet systems can meet the agency s needs. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112 (Surgical Appliance and Instrument Manufacturing), 1000 employees size standard and the Product Service Code (PSC) is 6530 (Hospital Furniture, Equipment, Utensils, and Supplies).
