## Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, American Lake VA Medical Center requires Garage Door Maintenance, Repair and Replacement services in accordance with the statement of work. See salient characteristics for brand name or equal to specifications. This is notice of a total SB set-aside. Questions for this RFQ will be accepted by email only at adam.hill3@va.gov on or before 12/29/2025. It is highly recommended that all interested Vendors attend a site visit on 12/12/2025 10:00 PST at American Lake VAMC Bldg 18 Lobby. RSVP Adam Hill adam.hill3@va.gov by 12/11/2025.

Amendment 0001 On Bldg 21 – We are unable to get a door that is 8x9’2” due to the headroom available. R&S Manufacturing makes their headplates 16” making the door we could get 8x9’8”. This will make it stick in the opening 6”. Eligible offerors and quotes conforming to the submission requirements will be evaluated based on the salient characteristics and technical specifications submitted of all equipment quoted. Please see new attachments; Attachment A – Door Specifications and Attachment B - Door Photos.

Building 20 – Three doors have motors with no safety devices. We would need to install new motor with safety devices. Or make the doors manual and install slide locks on the inside. The requirement does not include motor replacement for the doors where maintenance and repairs are being conducted (QTY4EA Doors). The contractor shall perform maintenance and minor repairs only, including rollers, hinges, springs, lubrication, and calibration. Existing VA owned motors are to remain in place and are not to be replaced.

The two doors needing replaced have Safe Edges, but the new motors will come with photo-eyes. Do you still want safe edges? The salient characteristics require UL 325 compliant entrapment protection using monitored photo eyes or edge sensors. Any Edge sensors quoted must meet compliance with UL 325. On the new doors, will bake on gray primer be okay. Or do you want powder coated and if so what color? The required finish is baked-on grey polyester primer as stated in the salient characteristics. Powder coating is not required.
