Special Notice Special Notice Page 2 of 2 Special Notice Page 1 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price Order with the large business Fujifilm Healthcare Americas Corporation. The procurement is for a service contract to cover product maintenance and repair, software upgrades, technical support, loaner equipment, and replacement parts for Fujifilm ultrasound units.

The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811210. This service is necessary to ensure reliable and accurate operation of this equipment. Fujifilm is the manufacturer and sole supplier of all services and service-related material, including parts. Because the OEM does not have any authorized distributors for this required service, this procurement is limited to one source. This order is placed against VA National Acquisition Center HTME Multi-award IDIQ contract.

IAW FAR 16.505(b)(2)(D) Posting, if fair opportunity is not provided, then the justification must be posted. See the attached VA justification for specifics. The anticipated award date: December 30, 2024. This requirement is for: Department of Veterans Affairs Roseburg VA Medical Center 913 NW Garden Valley Blvd. Roseburg, OR 97471 and Eugene VA Medical Center 3355 Chad Drive Eugene, OR 97408 This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purpose of determining the marketplace for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. This will be the only notice of the Government s intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
