## Description

This was fixed-priced. It was not awarded competatively, sole source. For the following reasons, VA concludes that awarding the contract to Evoqua is the only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. • VAPSHC has purchased a new RO DI water system for the current SPSrenovation project (Project number 663-20-102, contract number 36C26023C0012) from Evoqua via the general contractor. • This RO system is a Evoqua proprietary system and requires special serviceneeds.

No other entities are known that are authorized to access the softwaremonitoring system and provide Evoqua warranty. The critical water is used toclean endoscope, GI scope, and surgical equipment. If the waterrequirements are not met, it may cause serious health safety. • The system is designed to utilize the Evoqua remote monitoring program thatis only accessible through Evoqua. • The system service contract as provided also includes a parts warranty to bein place as long as the contract is active.

Which means once the original warranty (1 year) that comes with the purchase expires, this service contract will extend the parts warranty by Base + Four Years. • Evoqua will guarantee quantity and quality of water during the active contract.
