**Government Response:** Services are currently being performed under contract 36C25919C0051.

**Question 3:** This is asking for hazardous waste with control medication inclusion. Will the facility consider Control medication destruction and reverse distribution for this contract?

**Government Response:** No. What sets this apart in the State of Colorado s hazardous waste regulatory structure is the mandatory DEA controlled item disposal process for partially consumed dosages. Typically, reverse distribution isn t part of a contract for disposal of partially consumed dosages of DEA controlled substances since they ve already been in contact with the patient and can be biohazardous. Unused dosages of DEA controlled substances are returned to the Pharmacy. The disposal for partially consumed dosages of DEA controlled substances would be accomplished in a secured location using the approved system.

**Note:** No additional questions will be answered at this time.
