Only Epredia trained and authorized service technicians are qualified to work on this equipment. Epredia is both the manufacturer and exclusive OEM parts supplier for instrumentation supporting their anatomical pathology equipment. The Epredia instrumentation is government owned and, to procure a new instrumentation to accommodate different servicing would not provide best value to the taxpayer, and more importantly could potentially delay patient care. These consumables will be used at the South Texas Veterans Health Care Agency (STVHC), as part of the Histology Laboratory of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Services, located at the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital.
