This notice is not a solicitation and does not obligate the Government to release a future solicitation. The Government will not reimburse any contractor or interested party for costs incurred in replying to this notice. The purpose of this notice is to allow contractors an opportunity to be included in the spot bid sale. The information received by potential offerors in reply to this notice will inform the Government of who to invite to offer on the sale of scrap materials. Prospective offerors and/or their representatives are encouraged to reply to this notice stating interest as no reply to this notice may result in no invite to the scrap material sale. **Scope:** The Contractor, or Purchaser, shall provide all management, supervision, labor, equipment, transportation, fuel, and materials necessary to collect wood/pallets, scrap metals (ferrous), non-ferrous metals (aluminum, brass, copper, lead), cardboard and selected paper products on an as-needed basis. This is a revenue-generating agreement for the Government which means the Government will not make any payment for services under any resultant agreement. Site Locations for pickup: -4500 South Lancaster Road, Dallas, Texas 75216 -1201 East 9th Street, Bonham Texas 75418 Removal of material(s) by contractor must be completed between Monday and Friday during normal business hours (7AM and 3PM). Pick up of materials is to occur no later than two (2) business days after a request for pickup has been made by VANTHCS. Appointments for pickup may also be scheduled for Saturday mornings at the discretion of the POC and agreement of parties. VANTHCS does not have access to scales large enough to weigh all materials generated at VANTHCS. The contractor shall bear the burden of weighing materials and providing documentation. This notice is for interested parties who wish to purchase scrap material generated from Government-owned and operated buildings at the North Texas Veterans Health Care System. The resultant vehicle would be an agreement by which the Contractor compensates the Department of Veterans Affairs for recyclable materials collected and carried off site by the contractor. The VA shall retain a percentage of all proceeds for scrap material. The intended contract period will be for five years. The items available for sale and the anticipated performance period are subject to change prior to release of a spot bid sale to those that reply to this notice. In the event of any inconsistency between items listed within this notice and items listed in the prospective spot bid sale, the spot bid sale shall take precedence.
