## Description

Special Notice Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 17, intends to award a firm-fixed priced contract/order to Agilent Technologies, Inc. for procurement of servicing of the BioTek Synergy H1 Hybrid Multi-Mode microplate reader at the Veterans Affairs facility in Waco, Texas.

The BioTek Synergy H1 Hybrid Multi-Mode Reader (S/N 1710302E) is a critical piece of equipment used by researchers at the Center of Excellence (CoE) and must be fully operational and up to quality control standards to support multiple funded research studies. Contractors shall provide services in accordance with the Statement of Work and this is anticipated to be a Base + 4-year option renewal. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals.

No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and compelling evidence that the responding company can provide the same items/services, and that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only.

Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All interested parties who are responsible, certified, and capable may identify their interest and may submit a capabilities statement no later than 12:00 CDT Wednesday, May 15, 2024 to the above mentioned point of contact.
