Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center (GVSMVAMC) in Jackson, MS, has a requirement titled "Renovate Nutrition and Food Service Kitchen” for project number 586-22-104, per issue for construction Drawings and Specifications. This acquisition will be solicited pursuant to the Veterans' First Public Law 109-461 as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). At least 15 percent of the cost of the contract performance incurred for personnel shall be spent on the concern's employees or the employees of other eligible SDVOSB concerns. A Firm-Fixed Price construction contract award is anticipated. Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, tools, equipment, expertise, administration, transportation and supervision necessary to completely renovate approximately 12,000 square feet of the existing nutrition and food service kitchen per attached drawings and specifications. Trailer lease module or fabrication will be needed to house the temporary cook prep, tray assembly and dish washing operations. All construction work must adhere to the latest JCAHO, NFPA, OSHA and life safety requirements. All construction work must be performed without affecting medical centers’ operations. Work includes construction labor and supervision for architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing, telecommunication and other work as required by the government provided construction plans and specifications.
