Special Notice Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 16, intends to award a firm-fixed priced purchase order to Omnicell Inc. at 500 Cranberry Woods Dr, Cranberry Township, PA 16066, for the procurement of the following items for the Alexandria VA Medical Center, 2495 Shreveport Hwy, Pineville, LA 71360: Product Description Qty MED-DRW- 009 METAL LOCKING DRAWER 30 MED-FRM-501 Med 1-Cell Cabinet (XTE 2.0) 6 MED-LIC-004 SW LICENSE-PROFILE OPTION 6 MED-LIC-005 SW LICENSE- SCHEDULED MEDS 6 MED-PCB-501 XTEXTEND CONSOLE, FULL HEIGHT 6 MED-SCN-001 XT SCANNER, WIRED 1,2,3 CELL 6 MSA-SUB-006 PREMIUM WIN10 PACKAGE 6 SRD-OPT-012 XT FLEXLOCK WITH 50FT CABLE, INSTALLED 6 MED-PCB-501 XTEXTEND CONSOLE, FULL HEIGHT 7 The proposed sole source is to Omnicell Inc. who have propriety rights to their system, and as such are the only company that can perform the necessary upgrades and maintenance.

This notice is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No contract will be awarded based on offers received in response to this notice; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Proposals or offers received will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the government.

If no affirmative written response is received within 6 days from the publication of this notice, a contract or order will be issued to Omnicell, INC without any further notice. The anticipated statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for the requirement is 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
