This procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The John L. McClellan VA Hospital, Little Rock, AR has a requirement for a contractor to provide Illumina EPIC Methylation microarrays for use with iScan Microarray and Autoloader2 system in PAL. This is a new requirement to purchase 5 Infinium MethylationEPIC V2.0 BeadChip Kit (96 DNA samples/kit; Illumina #20087709) and 4Infinium MethylationEPIC V2.0 BeadChip Kits (32 samples/kit; Illumina #20087708) for use with the Illumina iScan and Autoloader 2 system in the Pharmacogenomics Analysis Laboratory. Based on market research and previous acquisition history, it has been determined that the Illumina, Inc. is the only vendor capable of providing the items to military veterans. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, quotations, or expressions of interest.
